At first, I was very impressed with this TV. Set up was super easy, picture is crisp, sound is great and you won't need to get add-on speakers or a sound bar. The remote is simple, and the price is awesome. It comes with several apps pre-installed. Very nice and convenient. Hulu is not included.
I attempted to add Hulu and discovered that this TV does not have the ability to add any more apps than those preloaded. Even going through the web browser, I could not get Hulu or other apps. The only words of wisdom the internet had to offer was to hook your smartphone or computer up so the screen can be seen on the TV, and then use the other device to access whatever app you want which the TV does not already have (basically using the TV as a monitor).
Or purchase a firestick. To add to this 'smart' TV. I wish I hadn't thrown away the box so I could return this. Even if you do not have cable connection.there is enough other TV available from your WiFi connections.connect on your portable hard drive or DVD player to view lots of great entertainment with no subscription fees.YouTube has thousands.the others mostly have 30 day trial then a subscription. In my case the WiFi loads faster than the cable box I was forced to have.to get my favorite soap opera. And prime time TV.
Super wide viewing angle fades the images a little but not a serious objection. I will be buying another the same. The good: the picture and sound quality are acceptable for the price, which make it a goodbye value. The bad: there is no way to add apps, other than those pre-loaded, after set-up. Example: I wanted to add Hulu and HBO Now, but couldn't.
This makes advertising this as a 'Smart TV' misleading to me. If you are looking to add apps, you will want to do your research first. I returned this to the store for a Smart TV at a comparable price. If this TV had the ability to shop and add apps like the other 'Smart' devices I have owned, it would make an excellent value. I received this TV on Christmas day. After setup it took around 30 minutes of messing with the power cord to come on.
I tried many different cords and they all reacted the same. It came on maybe 20% of the time.
After awhile it wouldnt come on whatsoever. There was an internal problem with the power so I had to return it. However when it did work I loved it. The picture quality was amazing and the 4k really stood out after upgrading from a 720p tv. I used the tv primarily for gaming and I wasn't disappointed in the quality. Just wish it would've worked longer than it did. Bought the TV on sale; It works fine, and the picture looks great.
NetFlix, Amazon, Youtube - all work fine. But I went to the Opera TV Store to try to find Hulu - and I get an error - 'Oops! Statue lil eddie piano chords.
Something went wrong.' It comes up each time I try to access the app store. I called support - they ended up referring to level 2. I talked to someone else @ Hisense today who told me I would need to call Opera directly!!! I quickly escalated to a supervisor who agreed I shouldn't be calling Opera and I'm awaiting another call back.
